0109.  Brown's shop in Nether street around 1895.  From left to right the people are, behind cart unknown lady, Arthur Brown  (born 1880) in cart, John Brown (born 1837) at head of horse, Lizzie (born 1881) and Rose (born 1876) Brown at shop door, William Brown  (born 1882) with bicycle. The picture is dated by the ages of the people from the known dates of their birth. The shop is part of the Exchange Row buildings shown in the post 1904 pictures and the 1904 map shows that Exchange Row had been built by then. This pictures shows that Exchange Row went up before it was taken. Brown collection.
