0281.  School Lane, looking east from its junction with Nether Street from a postcard posted in 1906. The blacksmiths shop is on the right and a house long since demolished on the other corner. The telegraph poles are presumably connecting to the Post office which was then in Watsons Lane, see photo 0267. From the Neil Cunnington collection.

This close-up view of the boys and the horse and cart reads "H Allen Butcher". Harry Allen is recorded as a butcher in Harby in the directories for 1908, 1912 and 1916.
