0342. Jack Butcher and Dora Mabbott about 1925 possibly at the back of Exchange Row houses in Nether Street. The Mabbotts lived in the first of the four  houses looking over what are now  the allotments.  Dora is not wearing even an engagement ring so this would be when they were courting. Jack’s suit and the fancy shoes they both wear suggest they are dressed for dancing. Jack shows us how to wear a bow tie, smile and keep a cigarette in the mouth all at the same time.
