0470. The Cross and War Memorial about 1965 showing Bradwell's shop on the right of the cross. During its history the shop was also a chippy, and was run by the Whites and the Hollands. Other shops that have come and gone were Harrimans in Exchange Row on Nether Street, the village hardware shop on the east corner of Stathern Lane and Green Lane, a butchers shop (possibly a bakers) on the south side of Burden Lane, a cake shop in Lilac Cottage at the south end School Lane and a cycle shop in Boyers Orchard which then developed into a garage.
