The Cross with Church Rogation Sunday parade 1947.The belfry with the bell is  in place in the school building. From left to right the people are - Mrs Leon, Miss Buxton, Mrs Towers, Jack Butcher, Rev Holden, Mr Tomlinson, Mac Hoyes, Kitch Furmidge. Rogation processions are from a tradition of asking for blessing on the crops and walking round the boundaries of the village. Pepper collection.
