0558. Oakhurst on the south side of Burden Lane in August 1932. Martin Stead the blacksmith purchased the land from Mrs Atlkinson on 20 November 1931 and took out a mortgage on 11 April 1932  with the Nottingham Building Society  to built this house for his family. The mortgage was paid off on 4 January 1944. It remained the property of the Stead family until Barbara Elizabeth Stead sold it on 2 December 1963.  Barbara Stead collection.
