B34        In affectionate remembrance of Thomas MUSSON. Who departed this life Feby. 27th. 1874. Aged 79 years. “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord”.  Mary, the beloved wife of Thomas MUSSON, who departed this life Jany. 13th. 1864 aged 64 years. Beloved, Lamented, and Respected.    Tho’ lost to sight, to memory dear.

 

B35        The last token of affection in memory of Betsy, daughter of Thos. & Mary MUSSON, born Septr. 1st. MDCCCXXXVII, died May XXVIth. MDCCCLIV. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Matt.24.42. also Maria, their daughter, who died in her infancy. MDCCCXXXI.

Oct.1936, aged 74 years.    Also a beloved wife and mother Regina Elizabeth WHITTLE died 3rd Jan. 1978, aged 85 years.   Re-united.    In loving memory of Doughty WHITTLE died Jan. 14th. 1955, aged 33 years.  Thy will be done.

 

C45        In loving memory of Mary Hannah, the beloved wife of Robert PRITCHETT, who died May 2nd. 1937, aged 66 years.  Resting from all labours.

 

C46        In loving memory of William Alfred MABBOTT, who died Jan. 22. 1938, aged 56 years. Also Agnes, his dear wife. Who died April 3. 1945, aged 60 years.  And Pte John William MABBOTT their beloved only son of the Queen’s Own Royal West Kent regiment. Died of wounds in Italy October 25th. 1944. Aged 33 years.  “Reunited.”

C50        In loving memory of Mary MABBOTT, died June 25th. 1930, aged 48 years.  At rest. Also of Albert Henry, husband of the above who died Feb. 28th. 1945, aged 66 years. Reunited.

 

C51        In loving memory of Walter OXBROUGH, died Jan. 25th. 1930, aged 62 years. Also Ann Elizabeth, his wife who passed away Sept 26th. 1946. Aged 77 years. Re-united. Also Lizzie HOWITT, daughter of the above died March 1st. 1933, aged 41 years. At rest.

 

C52        In loving memory of Thomas STARBUCK, who died May 22nd. 1920, aged 67 years. Also of Charlotte, his wife, who died Decr. 7th. 1920, aged 56 years. We cannot, Lord, thy purpose see, / but all is well that’s done by thee.

C54        In loving memory of Arthur HOYES, who died April 29th. 1916, aged 51 years. We cannot Lord thy purpose see, / But all is well that’s done by thee.  Also John W. HOYES, beloved son of Arthur & Elizabeth HOYES, killed in France May 13th. 1915, aged 26 years. Called to higher service.

D56       Here lyeth ye body of Rachel  wife of John MUSSON who departed this life May XXV. 1751. Aged 37 years.   Can a kind woman e’re forget / The infant of her womb. / And ‘moungst a thousand tender thoughts, / Her suckling have no room.

 

D57       In affectionate remembrance of Mrs. Mary MUSSON. (relict of Mr. Willm. MUSSON) born 28th. Oct.r 1793. Died 19 Jan. 1884, aged XC years. Even to your old age I am he: and even to hoar hairs will I carry you.

 

D58       Sacred to the memory of William MUSSON, who died Dec. 22. 1838; aged 46 years.

 

D59       [Illegible. 1982 survey recorded James and Ann WEAT (wife), died 1723 and 1725. Burial register shows James WAITE buried 30th September 1723; Ann WHEAT, widow, buried 27th July 1725.]

D61       Here lyeth ye body of John MUSSON who departed this life March 12th. 1751. Aged LXIII.  Daily our mortal flesh decays / But Christ our life shall come / His unresisted power shall raise / Our bodies from the tomb.

 

D62       Here lieth interr’d the body of Elizabeth, ye wife of John MUSSON; who departed this life October the 18th. 1744 aged 55.  This faithful wife and mother dear, / Her soul to God in peace resign’d; / Hoping in glory to appear, / Before the judge of all mankind.

 

D63       In memory of Frances MUSSON who died November 3rd 1882, aged 78 years.  In memory of Samuel MUSSON, who died July XVII,th 1886, aged 89 years.

 

D64       To the memory of Sarah, the daughter of Thomas & Sarah MUSSON. Who died Feby. 12th. 1818; aged 18 years.  My days on earth were but a few, / I wasted like the morning dew; / When I could stay no longer here, / I left my tender parents, dear, / To the kind providence of heaven, / And dy’d in hopes to be forgiven.

 

D65       If a man die shall he live again?  All the days of my appointed time will I wait till my change come   Here lies the body of Thomas LAMING [sic]. Who departed this life March ye 12th. in ye 73rd. year of his age. 1718. A peacable & quiet man within this grave doth lie /But soon he will be turned to dust. All flesh is born to die. /He was a kind neighbour we know & loving to his frend [sic]. /His soul we hope is now in heaven which never shall have end.   [This stone is engraved with the Belvoir Angel]   [On other headstones Lamin is spelt without a final ‘g’]

 

D66       [Cannot be read as the headstone is placed face against another. 1982 survey recorded Sarah LAMIN, wife of Thomas, died 21st June 1872, aged 62.]

 

D67       [Cannot be read as the headstone is placed face against another. 1982 survey recorded Thomas LAMIN, died 20th June 1882, aged 79, but the burial register shows he was buried on 24th June 1889.]

 

D68       This stone is erected in affectionate memorial of Thomas LAMIN who died June 21st 1819 aged 47 years. also Henry, son of Thomas & Ann LAMIN, who died Novr. 7th. 1810 aged 2 years.   Sweet consolation does our gracious Lord / To dying saints at the last hour afford / His promise is, “I will preserve alive / The fatherless and widows that survive” / Oh! trust him then! and dry up every tear / His word is firm! his promise is sincere!!

 

D69       In remembrance of Ann, relict of Thos. LAMIN, who died Novr. 16th. 1873, aged 88 years.  Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm cxvith 15th.

 

D70       [Too worn to read. 1982 survey recorded James LAMIN, died 1887. Burial register shows burial on 7th July 1887, aged 74.]

 

D71       In loving memory of William LAMIN, who died Dec 16, 1892, aged 77 years.

 

D72       To the memory of Sarah, the wife of Richard LAMIN. Who exchanged this mortal for an immortal state; the 9th. day of Oct. 1810; in the 29th. year of her age.    O! cruel death that would no longer spare, / A loving Wife, and tender mother dear; / Great is the loss to three, she left behind, / But she we hope eternal joys will find; / With her three Babes that dy’d  some time before / And peace with God we hope for evermore.

E75        In memory of  Ann, wife of John STEVENSON who departed this life January 9th 1800 aged 58 years     With patience to the last she did fulfil … / And murmur’d not at what the Lord ……./ But with a Christian courage [endureth] / Her soul to God at his appointed time.

 

E76        In loving memory of Mary Hannah, wife of John Henry HARWOOD, who died 23rd. January 1938, aged 74 years.   With Christ which is far better.    Also John Henry, husband of the above who died 4th. January 1943, aged 80 years. Re-united.

 

E77        In loving memory of Mary STEVENSON, born June 26th. 1830, died Decr. 13th. 1897. Also of Caroline, sister of the above born Novr 2nd. 1834, died June 12th. 1909. Their lives were lived for others but now are hid with God.

 

E78        In loving memory of Carrie Marian, the beloved child of John Henry & Mary Hannah HARWOOD, who fell asleep in Jesus Novr. 20th. 1903, aged 3 years & 6 months. Lost awhile our treasured love / Gained for ever safe above.

 

E79        In affectionate remembrance of William STEVENSON who died June 14th. 1891 aged 88 years.  Thou shalt come to the grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in his season.

E85        Here lieth interr’d the body of Mary the wife of Thomas GERMAN    She departed this life March the 31st. in the year of the Lord 1741 and the 41st. year of her age.

 

E86        In loving memory of Harriet Mary, wife of William GLOVER, who died March 5th. 1907, aged 40 years.   Sweet rest at last.    Beloved member of the choir.

 

E87        In loving memory of Alice Mary, the dearly beloved daughter of Frank & Mary MILLER, who died Feby. 3rd. 1899, aged 23 years. One gentle sigh her fetters broke, / We scarce could say she had gone / Before her gentle spirit took; / Her station near the throne.

 

E88        In loving memory of Grace, the dearly beloved wife of Cyril JACKSON, who died June 26th 1928, aged 22 years. The sweetest flowers are gathered first.

 

E89        To the dear memory of Frank MILLER, who died May 26th. 1935, aged 79 years. Also Mary, his beloved wife who died Jany. 17th. 1940, aged 87 years. Reunited.

 

E90        In loving memory of Alice Mary (Meg) the beloved wife of Hector James HALLAM who died 8th. July 1969.  Aged 67 years.  Peace at last.  Also of E. A. PICKARD.  Mother of Meg HALLAM. At rest.

 

E91        This stone is erected to perpetuate the remains of Elizabeth , wife of  John GOODSON. Who departed this transitory life; January 17th. 1823, aged 69 years.    Let religion be your chiefest care; / Oh! may we all for death prepare; / The stroke was great, and sudden too, / May it a warning prove to you.

 

E92        In memory of Elizh. GOODSON, daughter of John and Elizh. GOODSON, who died Jany. 24th. 1803 aged 20 years.   “O ponder well” her sudden Fall, / Ye thoughtless, blooming Virgins’ all; / Ye little think, who read this Stone, / how soon the Case may be your own.

 

E93        Erected to the memory of Richard, son of John & Elizabeth GOODSON, who died Feby. 1st. 1827, aged 29 years.

 

E94        Safe in the arms of Jesus.    In loving remembrance of Robert George, son of Robt & Mary GOODSON, who died May xiii. 1874, aged 16 years.   We asked life of thee and though gavest him a long life: even for ever and ever. Psalm xxi, 4.

 

E95        Sacred to the memory of Gervas son of  Robert and Isabella GOODSON, who died June 28. 1838. Aged 26 years.  What though awhile in dust I slumber here. / And leave behind a wife and children dear! / He who preserv’d me will not them dispise, / But guide them by his mercy to the skies.

 

E96        Sacred to the memory of Sarah, daughter of Robt. & Ann GOODSON, who died May 13th. 1848; aged 18 years. Into thine hand I commit my spirit: /  thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth. Psalm. 31. 5. V.
