Q:        Who is Harby Agriculture Ltd?
A:         We are the East Midlands and East Anglia franchise of Solway Recycling Ltd.

Q:        Which areas do you cover?
A:         We cover the whole of the East Midlands ( Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire and parts of Derbyshire) and East Anglia (Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex).        

Q:        Do I need to separate the inner liner from my fertiliser bags?
A:         No, simply put the whole fertiliser bag into the Solway liners.

Q:        Can I use the Solway system without buying a bin?
A:         Yes; however the bin helps you to get more waste into the liners, hence reducing collection
costs.

Q:        Can I chop up my pesticide containers?
A:         No, but you can crush them if it helps to get more in the liner.

Q:        How do we charge?
A:         You pay only for what you produce.  We charge a set fee for collection of each liner.

Q:        When do we collect?
A:         Whenever you have 3 or more liners full.  Contact us and we will arrange collection.

Q:        Can I use my fertiliser bags to store my waste instead of using the Solway liners?
A:         No, our liners are transparent so we can see what is inside.  It aids the recycling process.

Q:        How much do liners cost?
A:         £3.00 each.

Q:        How much is collection?
A:         £30.00 per liner, minimum of 3 liners.

Q:        How much waste can I get in the liner?
A:         Trials with existing customers have shown that using compaction, the liners can hold:

  • 250 silage wraps
  • 120 x 600kg big bags (fert, seed, feed, etc)
  • 200 x 5 litre pesticide container

Q:        What size are the liners?
A:         They are designed to fit inside the Solway bin which is 4ft diameter x 4ft tall (1.25m x 1.25m).
